Hens Wrap Up Spring Break With Some Racing

This weekend saw lots of racing among all crews, both lightweight and heavyweight, to wrap up a long and arduous spring break training trip to Wilmington, DE. The Heavyweight team raced at the Head of the Schuylkill this past weekend in the Club Championship 8+, Championship 8+, and College Frosh/Novice 8+. This summer, many rowers took training to the next level and rowed at various prestigious and storied clubs including Penn AC, Undine, and Vesper on Boathouse Row as well as Riverside on the Charles in Boston. On Saturday, the Delaware Lightweights took on the Engineers of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for some competitive racing on the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia. This past weekend, the Heavyweights competed at the SIRAs (Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association) Regatta in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
