The Fightin’ 150s concluded their duel season for the spring with racing against both MIT and Temple on the Schuylkill this Saturday. The First Varsity 8+ placed first over both MIT and Temple, in spite of tough conditions from a crowded racecourse early Saturday morning. For their victory, the Hens win the Inaugural installment of the Hudson Memorial Cup. Both the Second and Third Varsity 8s rowed against the MIT Second Varsity 8, with the UD 2v over the UD 3v, over MIT. In the Varsity 4+ Delaware finished third behind MIT in close racing across all three boats, with the Temple 4+ rowing as an exhibition crew. Well rowed by all crews. The Lights now turn their focus to the upcoming Dad Vail Regatta, which kicks off in eleven days.
The heavyweight squad also wrapped up their duel season with their first ever sweep of Rutgers this weekend, with four crews racing: First Varsity, Junior Varsity, Third Varsity, and Freshman Eights. The crews competed in tough conditions following a week off from racing, well rowed! The heavies will also be turning their attention to the upcoming Dad Vail Regatta.
