This past weekend many Delaware Crews saw action at the Navy Day Regatta in Philadelphia. On
the heavyweight side, there was a 4th place finish in the Men’s Open 4, a 9 th in the JV 8 and a 12th in the
V8. Both the light and heavy freshman rowed in the freshman events, which were not separated by
weight class. They took a 16th in the Novice 4 and 6th, 10th, 18th, 19th, and 20th in the Novice 8 category.
The lightweights took to the river in the lightweight 4 in which they took 5 th and in the lightweight 8 in
which they took 5th and 2nd, less than 2 seconds off the first place navy boat.

This weekend the varsity lights and heavies will head up to Boston to race in the 48 th Head of
the Charles Regatta. The remainder of the squads will remain in Delaware to prep for the following
weekend’s racing. The heavies will race the collegiate 8 on Sunday at 3:43pm while the lights will race
the lightweight 8 event at 4:38pm on Sunday.

A live webcast of the Head of the Charles will be running for the whole weekend and can be found at
