Delaware Prepares for the Navy Day Regatta with a Preseason Tune Up at the Head of the Christina

Last Sunday (10/7), the Delaware Varsity Heavyweights, Freshman Heavyweights and Freshman
Lightweights got their first taste of fall racing in 2012 rowing an exhibition at the Head of the Christina in
Wilmington DE. The Delaware crews headed down the course before the regatta officially began.

This weekend all crews will be in action at the Navy Day Regatta on the Schuylkill river in
Philadelphia. Boats are entered in the Men’s Open 4+, Men’s Lightweight 4+, Men’s Novice 8+, Men’s
Novice 4+, Men’s JV 8+, Men’s 8+ and the Men’s Lightweight 8+. Racing will take place throughout the
day on Saturday with Delaware’s first race at 9am and the final race at 1:20 pm.
