Two Weeks from Competition

UDMC are less than two weeks out from their first races of the season.  During spring break the Fighting 150 will travel north to Boston to race last year’s Eastern Sprint Champions Harvard University.  The following weekend the lights will travel to Philly and race the Penn lightweight’s in the morning, then travel to Princeton’s Lake Carnegie to race Columbia.  Last year Delaware’s Light frosh beat the Harvard Freshman lightweight and the varsity fell to a strong Harvard squad.  The Varsity fared better the following weekend and swept both the Columbia and Penn crews.  The Delaware Heavyweight’s coming off a strong 2011 spring season will start their season off at the Murphy Cup regatta. They are under new leadership this year from coach Joe Kleiman.  The heavies placed 4th at the Murphy cup last season
