This past weekend, the entire University of Delaware Men’s Crew team traveled to Mercer Lake in West Windsor, New Jersey to compete in the Knecht Cup. The Lightweights traveled to Princeton’s Lake Carnegie this weekend for a duel with Dartmouth. Two weeks into the season, UDMC Heavyweights traveled to Camden, New Jersey for the Murphy Cup Regatta. The team fielded a Varsity 8+, JV8+, and Frosh/Novice 8+.  The Frosh/Novice 8+ set the tone early in the day by winning their heat by 3 seconds and advancing to the final. Delaware Men’s Crew Lightweights traveled to Boston, MA this past weekend to duel Harvard and MIT on the Charles. This weekend, Varsity and Freshmen Heavyweights raced Lehigh on the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia. The team fielded a Varsity Heavyweight 8+ and two Varsity Heavyweight 4+’s comprised of 2nd Varsity 8+ rowers, along with a Freshmen Heavyweight 8+ and two Freshmen 4+’s. This weekend, the Varsity and Freshmen Lightweights traveled to Washington D.C to race Georgetown Lightweights on the Potomac River. Early in the morning, Delaware’d 2nd and 3rd Varsity 8+ took on Georgetown’s 2nd varsity.
